Is there a way to export data source to a template file; CSV?
So we are in the final phases of rolling out LogicMonitor and now the daunting process of Alert Tuning has rolled upon us. In our old monitoring solution we has it very much tweaked and customized and overall all alerts were around ~400-600ish. In LogicMonitor we are currently at 13000+. We need to seriously tune up the Datasources and we need a way to show our SME's what each datasource is monitoring and what it alerts on, what thresholds, etc.. Is there a way to export the Datasource's Monitoring Template to a CSV file so that we can reference that and our SME's can then say turn off, adjust etc.. I see in the reports section there is a "Alert Threshold Report" but that lists out every single datapoint instance on a group/resource and we don't want that. We need what the base DS template looks at and uses and applies to each matching resource.699Views0likes6CommentsIs there no way to easily export Alerts w/ the details?
So is there no way to easily export the alerts page? Am I missing somethingor why is there no way toexport the alerts I need to share with folks to a CSV, PDF, etc....? Why is thereno way to do thison the main Alerts page? Also is there any way to list, show the actual alert details? I don't want to have to click on every alert so I can then view the alert details. Is there a way to show this as one of the columns? So I'm looking for a way to export the Alerts I am viewing after creating my filter and to also include the Alert Message details. Please don't tell me I have to use the horrific "Reports' section and then build a Report based on the "Alerts" template to export alerts. This as far as I can tell doesn't even allow to show the alert message details which I need included in the export/report.499Views1like2CommentsCSV exports with tabular data
Most often, when people export to a csv or excel format their intent is to receive table data in a tabular format because they're going to pivot it out, chart it, or conduct some sort of analytics/BI function. It would be nice if your csv exports didn't require manipulation of the data to remove erroneous data/whitespace for consumability as a table datasource. This is specifically a problem in Website Overview reports.7Views2likes1CommentAbility to import data of an instance historical data export, and force applying that to a new instance in another datasource.
Hi there. I want to request the ability to import data into an instance. Specifically, I am hoping for a way to add historicaldata to a new instance that is monitoring the same objects, with the same metrics labeled as the exact same datapoints, just the source is different. In our case we see a need to create a new datasourcewhich captures the same data with our old devices and a bunch of new ones, and more in the future. The old datasourceused SNMP for monitoring, and we wish to replicate that into the new datasource, but make it all API calls via script, since the new ones do not support SNMP. For proper monitoring and troubleshooting of the devices we need to have the historical data for the old instance of old devices, while being in the same datasourceas the new ones. For this very reason, we would like to see the ability to add historical data to a new instance after it has been exported from a separate and old instance, especially if the datapoint names match. I have a feeling this particular case study might be relevant to other users as well.4Views0likes0CommentsONE CLICK CSV export
ADDITIONAL note: I'd like a ONE click button option to export the current view's background data straight to .CSV I'm seriously unhappy with the flow of the new reporting modules and I run through it (saving a copy or overwriting the settings) 20 times before I get EXACTLY what I want the data to be in my csv. If I could pull up an event source, or a Graph view....>SEE the data that I want there for the Time frame I am searching....and hit ONE button (one time...one click) and have the system export THAT specific data to .csv formatted out put, it would stream line my weekly, daily and monthly reporting efforts immensely.4Views0likes1Comment
