BigNumber Widget or something similar that will use the Dashboard Timescale? We had one of our Devs setup a self service daemon for use to provision some “things” and we are querying those numbers with an API. We currently have some hard coded (app side) data for Successful/Failed per hour and per 24 hours and we are using the Big Number Widgets. We also have some graphs that accurately display this same data on a time scale Based on the Dashboard Time Setting. Now for my question. For the life of me i cannot figure out a way to get the Dashboard Time Scale setting to work with anything else outside of a graph. You’d think using the SUM or Max aggregate function would work but it doesn’t. Maybe its the way the data is coming over from this custom app. The people that are looking at this data are complaining they don’t want to do the math off the graph to figure out how many success/fails happen in a given time period. Re: sending Windows syslogs to Logicmonitor Nevermind, found the datasource. its been a crazy week lol. sending Windows syslogs to Logicmonitor I know this is going to be a duh moment. But back in our Proof of Concept we setup 2-3 widows boxes to send logs to Logicmonitor so they can be parsed int he Logs section of the GUI. I cannot for the life of me find in the documentation or remember how we set it up. The only thing i can see is that we have System.pushmodules = logusage. It wont let you add that property manually so I’m guessing its just hidden somewhere else in the GUI. SolvedRe: Convert default Alert Report to dashboard? Yeah, you can add all the pre-built or existing stuff. But its not like it would be on a normal Table Widget where you actually get the configure the Row/Column sources. I guess I’m slightly stuck. The out of the box Alert List has zero flexibility and when you create a new Table Widget, the Alert information doesn't appear to be something you can select as it's not a resource or a field attributed to a resource as far as I can tell. The end goal here is trying to get a dashboard to see how long things were down. I’m starting to see its likely just gonna be a 100% from the ground up built with using custom sources. Re: Convert default Alert Report to dashboard? I sort of figured it out, but its ugly and clunky. Copied the built in Alert List dashboard and made a few small tweaks. Its a bit annoying you can’t seem to choose these columns on a fresh dashboard/widget, seems artificially limiting. Added Severity: Critical Added Cleared : All Convert default Alert Report to dashboard? Anyone seen examples of know of a way to convert the basic (out of the box) Alerts Report into a Dashboard? The default “Alert List dashboard” only shows active alerts with no way (can’t edit the table in the dashboard) that I’ve found to edit it to show historical information like the Alerts Report. If I try to create a table widget from scratch it won’t let me choose * or ##DefaultResourceGroup##. You can create an Alert List Widget but the same issue comes up, its not historical in nature and there doesn't seem to be any way to edit that. SolvedRe: Anyone doing PostFix monitoring? Doesn’t look like it will work on an AWS ECS container. I put in a ticket just in case but it looks like the structure of the resources just isnt gonna fly with this. Re: Anyone doing PostFix monitoring? I was looking at that this morning, but because our postfix instance/s are running in containers I don’t think the Module can see/understand what to do with it. Never mind, needed to step away and take a fresh look at it. Think i’m on the right track now. Anyone doing PostFix monitoring? Hi all, we have a small postfix server running as a contain in AWS. Basic monitoring works fine but we were wondering if anyone out there is using or has any ideas for how to monitor SMTP traffic in LogicMonitor. Ideally, we’d like to setup some sort of synthetic email tests on a schedule but wasn't sure where to start or if anything exists natively. Solved
