Enable/Disable Integrations?
Is any way to easily disable/enable integrations? I have a bunch of Escalation Chains (300+) that all do various things but send to a PROD ticketing system Integration directly. I’d like to attach the TEST Integration to all of them, and then toggle the integration on or off. But I dont see a way to do it. As I’m typing this up, it just occurred to me that maybe I could attach the Integration to a Recipient group, and remove it, as needed. We have only used sms or email for those but I just discovered as I was creating this that apparently I could just add a Recipient Group to all my Escalation Chains, and then add/remove the integration. So I feel silly now, but I’ll let the question stand. Or I will shift it …is the use of Recipient Groups the way other people use to wholesale/bulk turn on or off integration points, by putting another layer in there? EDIT: I unfortunately discovered that I can’t have an empty recipient list, so in the event I needed to disable all the Integrations in the recipient list, I can’t do it unless there is a null or empty target that can be selected in the event I dont need TEST or DEV integrations in that list (I would want to keep a PROD one separate and untouched if possible). So I’m also wondering if there is a way to do an empty recipient list? I saw no empty/null options, and wouldnt want to burden LM by sticking in some dummy email in there for a NULL equivalent.21Views7likes0CommentsAutomatic discovery of recipients/groups
We have begun implementing a tagging standard in our cloud accounts to better control discovered resources and route alerts accordingly. I would like to be able to route alerts by default based on the value of a tag. I'm aware that I can already set up specific users and then achieve exactly what I'm requesting, but I would much prefer to have a blanket rule that uses the tag's value as the recipient email address(es) directly. Some examples below: system.aws.tag.MonitorAlertEmail=ThisIsAnExample@PleaseOfferThisFeature.com system.aws.tag.SendAlertsHere=AnotherExcellentExample@WeWillPayExtraForThisFunctionality.gov AnotherEmailAddress@OkayNotReally.net See the screenshots below for a visual example of how I'd like to structure this automation.0Views0likes1CommentInclude Recipient Groups as Filter for the Alert List dashoboard widget
Our organization has multiple teams that have been broken down in our recipient groups. One group in particular, our NOC, is included on about 250 various escalation chains. While we're able to filter by Escalation Chain, Group and, a couple other items that could be useful for us, getting a dashboard for alerts that go to that recipient group just isn't feasible due to the fact that each of those escalation chains or groups need to be added manually and then would need to be updated manually if the team was added to another escalation chain - they could be missing out on important data if they aren't notified of the change and miss out on adding the additional chain. - For LM staff, I originally asked about this functionality in ticket 85602 and advised it wasn't available.0Views0likes0Comments
