Tell us about what you like about LM cloud
Hello everyone - this is Richard brooke, I am one of the member of the training team here at Logic Monitor. As we grow our collections of trainings and courses here at Logic Monitor, we like to get a feeling and feedback of what features, sets of features or combination that makes using the LMenvision platform positive. We are looking to add more to our cloud Knowledge repository and would like to hear from our users What do you like about LM cloud - What features or what makes it something to like? - Is there something that makes your day to day IT tasks better or easy? - Is there a feature or function that is the best thing since sliced bread and or beer in a can (Both are fantastic IMHO) Would love to hear some feedback here or ping me at richard.brooke@logicmonitor.com THANKS!!21Views9likes0CommentsChallenges customers are facing with infrastructure monitoring.

It looks like someone in my org had enabled "Enhanced Monitoring" for several AWS RDS instances--a surprise, to be sure, but a welcome one . I would love Cloud Collector method that can consume this data and display it along side all other metrics we are collecting in LogicMonitor. Implementation should be relatively simple. In the discovery, presumably usingdescribe-db-instances, we would just need a system.aws* property for the "dbiresourceid" which can be used to get-log-events.14Views0likes1CommentAWS_ClassicELB_ServiceLimits -- ListenerLimit & ListenerUsage
AWS lists that the Listener limit is on a per ELB basis. TheAWS_ClassicELB_ServiceLimits datasource seems to intimate that the ListenerUsage is returning the total number of listeners for the given region. Is this useful information to capture on a regional basis or should this be refactored to apply to each classic ELB?Solved4Views0likes1CommentLM Cloud - Support for AWS Tagging for Elastic Beanstalk and Lambda
Elastic Beanstalk tagging has been around since 2014and AWS Lambda Function tagging is relatively recent as well. Would it be possible to get the Cloud Collector to start importing the tags as systemProperties like other AWS resources that support tagging?13Views0likes4CommentsLM Cloud - AWS RDS - system-level prop for Endpoint Address
Is it possible to populate monitored AWS RDS instances with the connection endpoint address as a system-level property? I'm not sure how we would be able to query the RDS instance directly if we don't have that when we have a Collector assigned to fetch custom metrics.8Views0likes1CommentAdd "Member of these Groups" section to the Info tab for Cloud Devices
We use LM Cloud with multiple AWS accounts and dump the instances/devices into a common folder where no meaningful alert rule is applied. We use Dynamic Groups sort the discovered instances into appropriate buckets. Cloud Devices don't render a "Member of these Groups" section on their info tab, unlike Standard Devices. Having this would help my team understand why any particular alert rule is being triggered.8Views0likes2Comments
