Multiple Device Select when setting SDT
As an MSP we also manage a number of customerpatching cycles, this entails a number of servers needing to be placed into SDT individually for a customer across a number of there groups, with some of our customers this means 60+ servers at a time. (devices can be spread across several groups & not all devices within each said group willbepatched at the same time, so setting at the grouplevel is out). Can we please have the function of being able to select a group and then a number of individualdevices from that group (+sub-group) at the same time - ideally being able to see a list of devices contained with group (+ sub-group) and have checkboxesalongside them so that multiple selections can be made at once. Time zone set for group of devices
We have requirement of setting SDT to some servers which are in different time zones. The current time zonesetting isportal-wide, so it is not based on group of devices as we require. This would be a very welcome feature for any companies that have sites inmultiple timezones, suggest LM should look into this and implement this feature on priority.12Views2likes5CommentsSDT Repeat Schedule (Nth day feature)
The SDT feature is critical for a monitoring tool to be able to schedule blackout periods ahead of time. A lot of clients schedule their maintenance windows on a certain weekend of the month and your tool only allows you to set up repeat schedules daily at a certain time, weekly on a certain day, or monthly on a certain day of the month. This covers a lot of bases, but it's not how a good number of clients schedule regular downtime. For clients who schedule their downtime on the "4th Saturday of every month" you have to manually enter these dates as there is not way to automate it on a repeat basis. I suggest adding a "N th weekday of the month" option so one can schedule based on the "1 st Sunday" or "Last Saturday" or "4 th Wednesday". This is common enough to be very useful. I have multiple sites running our system. I have a device group for each site consisting of all devices (db, web etc) and a corresponding Services group (same name) for monitoring the web site. If I need to take down the site for maintenance, I need to update both the devices and services with the downtime. My suggestion: Add rules on a device levelof which services to take down when the device goes to SDT. Examples: 1. if I have a test machine (single machine running test.domain.com), I can tell the rules that when the machine goes to SDT put down the service monitoring of test.domain.com 2. I have 3 machines running a load balanced site (site.domain.com), I can tell the rules that if all machines running this site are going to SDT put the service to SDT 3. I have an external site (external.domain.com) which is hosted elsewhere, because of that it will not be put down when any of the devices go into SDT1View1like1CommentExpand role view permissions to include SDT
I would like to propose that there be an additionalcolumn added to both theDevices and Servicesuser permission selectionto allow a user role to manage Scheduled Downtime.
