AutoProperties for Cloud resources
I need to be able to create AutoProperties on Cloud Resources, which don’t require interacting with the Cloud Resource itself. This page indicates that you cannot apply AutoProperties to cloud devices unless monitoring is enabled via a local Collector. Could this requirement be relaxed?137Views18likes6CommentsConsolidating monitoring tools: How Schneider Electric was able to reduce MTTI.
Hear Observability and Monitoring Strategist, Arun Mandayam, describe challenges that Schneider Electric faced around data interpretation and difficulties when using multiple monitoring tools. Arun describes how LogicMonitor helped consolidate monitoring tools, enabled them to onboard new cloud accounts, network devices, and on-prem systems on a unified platform, and helped significantly reduce MTTI and alert noise. Reposting...as somehow old post is removed !! Hi All, I am trying to make sense of AWS/Azure service health data source and how we can utilize it effectively. From what we understand, it takes updates from RSS feed of AWS and Azure but it doesn't have capability to co-relate multiple events into a single alert due to which it becomes impossible to proactively notify our consumers. For example, an issue occurring on azure storage has 100s of events and all have same information. Please let me know if you have used it an effective manner or if there is any workaround. We have some custom CloudWatch metrics we'd like to gather, display and alert on however, they aren't specific to any host or AWS resource. If we push application specific metrics into CloudWatch, we don't want them tied to any specific application host as hosts/instances can come-and-go. We push these metrics to CloudWatch without an associated EC2 / AWS resource and can see them in CloudWatch, but without an InstanceID, we can not pull these metrics into Logic Monitor. We'd like to be able to pull in and organize any metric from CloudWatch, regardless of whether or not its dimensions include an InstanceID etc.30Views1like3Comments
