I am looking for the number of alerts historically for any group, device, datapoint. I.e. it would show the active alerts at each point in time for the resources/websites in a group. Re: Line graph of alerts Hi Sarah, thanks for the follow up. I could see this being useful in a number of ways. Ultimately I'd like this to be part of our health assessment dashboards for our production applications. To be able to see the number of warnings, errors, and criticals occur in an entire environment month over month would be hugely helpful in us assessing the overall environmental health, as well as giving insights into what the people cost of suffering environments. We log warning and errors as JIRA tickets, so these graphs would make it easy to see which products are having issues over time, which teams are working round the clock for potentially related issues (or just busy work), and help us better focus our efforts on alert tuning and cleanup. Tuning and alerting is not really the goal but a nice by product. I'd like to see what LM sees as a function of time. This could also help me drive decisions around staffing, complexity of an environment, technical debt, profitability of a product, commonalities in hosting platforms, i.e. colo vs public clouds, and likely additional topics just based on knowing how many alerts occur in any given subset of devices AND website checks. Line graph of alerts I'd like a line graph to show alerts over time. In order of priority I would want to easily see specified groups of devices, then by device, and then by instance. This would greatly assist in identifying trends. This post hints at a cumbersome workaround, but the ability to see number of alerts over time is a basic necessity and should be easy to accomplish. https://communities.logicmonitor.com/topic/732-number-of-alerts-on-dashboard/ Ideally this would just be an eventsource or a datasource which could be easily applied to any group whether it be website, resource or device. Resize device tree In the past we were able to to resize device tree view, now it cannot be expended by dragging to the right. Use case is when you are searching for esx volume usage for a vm guest and the vm has many drives, you cannot see the drive letters in the search. Re: More sort by's Not sure if I'm stealing this thread, but I'd like to be able to filter by Datapoint and sort by Value. E.g. I want to sort disk space used from highest to lowest across my account. So I filter datapoint PercentUsed, but when "Value" is not clickable in order to sort from highest to least. Rate limit Cleared messages Rate limiting cleared messages should be an option. I have had Collectors go down and I don't get spammed but when the collector comes back up I my email gets blasted. Alert floor in delta I have a datasource that monitors disk usage spikes. Currently it is set to alert if there is a change in disk usage greater than 10% in 10 minutes (polling period). It is useful to know if disk usage goes up from 80% to 88% in 10 minutes, however it is just noise for when a disk space would go from 50% to 55% in 10 minutes. It would be great to be able to add a condition where it would alert if the disk goes up 10% in 10 minutes, but only if total space used is above 70% fore example Bulk upload via UI It would be great to be able to bulk upload devices and services via UI. I know it can be done via API but it would be even more convenient to be able to do so by uploading the csv via UI. Use case: We are consistently growing via acquisition and would love to be able to upload all new devices and services of the acquired company with a simple GUI upload of csv. I can imagine this might be useful for MSP's as well. Limited functionality of only uploading new devices/services would suffice. Modify Alert trigger Interval on the Instance level It would be great to have the granularity to be able to change the Alert Trigger Interval on an instance in the same way a threshold can be modified on an instance. Example: Disk Usage on a netapp There are 100 volumes but one of them needs to be over the threshold for a longer amount of time to cause concern. So the archive log volume will fill up no matter what space is allocated but it is not a concern as long as it is back below the threshold within 1 hour. A custom datasource will not work for this because we would like to alert immediately on all other volumes on this device when they go above the threshold. Enable dynamic groups in services I would like more dynamic groups in the Services module, which would allow easily manageable granularity in alerting. For devices, we use dynamic groups based on custom tags on the devices and then route the alerts based upon these dynamic groups. I'd like to do the same in Services. e.g. Product A in Production goes to on call, Product A in Dev goes to Product A email distro
