UIv4 - Cleared alerts not showing duration in began column
In UIv4, I noticed that in the Alerts tab of the Resources page does not show the duration an alert was active when you are looking at historical alerts (cleared filter set to Yes). Instead it shows the amount of time ago in hours the alert was reported at (which is redundant since timestamp is already shown in the column). In UIv3 I am used to being able to easily see the duration a historical alert was active within the “began” column of the Alerts tab. It shows up in parentheses next to the timestamp the alert began and is useful for seeing if alerts were “flapping” among other uses. Below is an example of what the column looks like in UIv4 vs UIv3.This example alert was triggered 6/7 at 15:05 and cleared after 5 minutes. The UIv3 version is more useful. UIv4 (Reported At): Jun 07 15:05 (an hour ago) UIv3 (began): Jun 07 15:05 (5m)25Views2likes2CommentsUIv4 - Instance Thresholds - Consecutive Polls
Good afternoon, Is it intentional that when you set an instance alert threshold, the consecutive polls is also overridden from the global threshold? For example, I'll set an instance level threshold in UIv3 which doesn't have the consecutive poll option and I assume it would just use the global threshold consecutive polls. But when I just checked in UIv4, the consecutive polls was just set to immediately and seemed to alert that way from my testing.140Views0likes1CommentWarn sooner if applies to expression is longer than 1024
Creating Dynamic Groups in UIv4, if the expression is longer than 1024 characters, clicking the test button will pass and show devices, but the character limit warning will only appear after you hit save and the "create group" page has closed. The warning appears briefly at the bottom of the main page after the "create group" page has disappeared, it does not give you a chance to rectify the issue while creating the dynamic group. This means you have to re-enter the name, description and properties again, click save again, and hope the new "applies to" is less than 1024, otherwise you get to do it all over again. In UIv3, the warning appears as soon as you hit the "test" button giving you a chance to fix the issue in place without losing any information that has already been entered. er you hit save, giving you a chance to fix the issue34Views0likes1CommentRecently Deleted Items and sorting in UIv4
In UIv4, the default sorting of Recently Deleted Items doesn't make sense. Clicking on the column headings changes the order, but still not in a way that makes logical sense. Can this be improved so the default sorting has most recently deleted at the top, similar to how UIv3 is?40Views0likes1CommentOnline documentation for UIv4?
Today I got a popup in the UI saying that UIv4 is about to be forced on us for reports, settings, collector settings, audit logs, and more, apparently by April 30. Which is in 2 days. Shame on me I guess for not looking at collector release notes I guess, since in the past I could trust them to not be functionally radical. No time in the day. Anyway I decided to start learning the UIv4 for reports first, since thats the one that will impact normal users the most, and it looks to me like the page is still for UIv3. Its a problem I have generally, that all these UIv4 changes are coming, but when I look at online documentation (searching for something like, logicmonitor reports documentation) its almost always UIv3. At least nothing looks like UIv4 in this reports link that came up. I tried linking the URL in this post but the Publish button worked so here is a screenshot of the official support page titled "Creating & Managing Reports": That image above is definitely UIv3. So I guess my question is, given that we are required to deal with this new UI, when will all the official support pages start showing UIv4 info? I'm going to have to re-learn everything, on a short notice apparently, and while I can hunt and peck in the new UI, I'm wondering if there are any official documentation replacement pages for UIv4 for the entirety of the portal? I probably disagree with LM on whether their new UI is intuitive or not, but there needs to be official documentation. And perhaps there is. I'm asking. :)102Views1like1CommentUIv4 instances when there are none?
Perhaps I just wasn't paying attention previously, but does the new UI show everything has an instance even when it's not a multi-instance DataSource now? Is that a recent change? It automatically jumps to the "instance" when you click on the DataSource entry so not really causing an issue but kinda threw me for a loop when I thought a DataSource I was working on was somehow creating instances when it shouldn't. Seems kinda odd and perhaps confusing when training on what instances are if everything looks like it has one.117Views9likes3CommentsUIv4 Chat Icon covers critical page elements
When popping out a support chat, the Chat icon is positioned in a way that prevents a user from saving or cancelling the page element they are on. Specifically this was noticed when I was trying to add a resource. I've added a screenshot for reference. Also, why can't we add screenshots to a feature request form? This would be a much easier way to show the issues that we are facing rather than a simple text field.Solved173Views2likes8Comments
