Here’s a datasource that converts the bytes to gigs. Maybe you can use that as a template. MSFT reports it as bytes so that’s what WMI gets... Basically a complex dp that dividesby 1024. You can import this ds and apply tio to just one Windows server to see the ”effects”

Thanks for bringing this issue to light. I raised this issue in our Product Channel for UIV4. Others have brought this up, and there is already an internal ticket to look into this issue for future release.

It is best to get an actual sample from your environment since environments can vary so much. Maybe check the traffic between a current collector which has similar number of devices. You cando a wireshark capture and see the trafficfor about an hour and then use that as a basis for calculation. This document may give some clues -https://www.logicmonitor.com/support/collectors/collector-overview/collector-capacity- but will not be specific to your environment. So best to get an actual sample.

Are you able to turn off the FW rule between collector’s ip and datacenter temporarily (for say 1 hour) and then use the firewall logs to see what happened?

The batchscript collection method adds so much more workload to the collector even if the end ‘method’ is an snmpget. For example the newSNMP_Network_Interfaces which replaces the oldsnmp64_If-.

Hi everyone, I am a Technical SupportEngineer here in Logicmonitor based out of Austin, TX. I’ve been in Austinfor over 8 years (same time as I joined LM). I enjoy the technical work we get to do as well as all the new technologies we encounter. My wife and I love to travel and just came back from Portugal a couple of weeks ago.
