    I believe there is an option in the Alert rules for "Send status notification for Acknowledge or SDT" which you can switch off to stop that.

    Thank you for pointing me there. This appears to be a situation where staff set the Alert Rules up years ago and they just work so no one could easily recall this and we just needed a little guidance to find it.
