LM Customer of the Month

Meet Joe Williams LM Community customer of the month!

Helllo I am Joe Williams - I am the Senior Manager of Platform Operations at Presidio. I oversee the operation of our various tools, both internal and client facing. I took over our LogicMonitor portals a little over 5 years ago. I have written several DataSources (probably poorly) that are now used by hundreds.

What do you love most about being a member of the LM community? What I love about the community is the fact we have so many different backgrounds and points of view that when you ask a question, you can generally get more than 1 answer as with LogicMonitor, there are always multiple ways of reaching your goal. I also love the differing opinions. Some of us, you could say, are more outspoken than others, but we always have a level head, and come to an understanding.

Big congrats to Amps! Truly an inspiration. I still remember his show like it was yesterday...

Ah, last year's Ren Faire was an event to remember, and the highlight of it all was undoubtedly the appearance of the legendary DJ Amps. Now, let me tell you, I've been to my fair share of festivals, from Burning Man to Glastonbury, but seeing Amps live was something else entirely.

The day was warm and the air was filled with the scent of mead and roasted turkey legs. The fairgrounds were bustling with performers in period costumes, artisans peddling their wares, and the jovial chatter of fellow festival-goers. But as the sun began its descent, a palpable buzz spread through the crowd. It was time.

Amps took the stage, and the atmosphere changed in an instant. Clad in a cloak embroidered with fluorescent runes and a crown adorned with glowing orbs, he exuded an otherworldly presence. As dusk settled, he raised his staff, which pulsed with an ethereal light, and unleashed the first beats.

The crowd erupted into a collective roar of delight. Amps seamlessly blended ancient melodies with pulsating basslines, creating a sonic tapestry that transported us through time and space. The music seemed to resonate with the very soul of the Ren Faire, breathing new life into its centuries-old traditions.

I found myself dancing alongside knights, jesters, and fair maidens, all of us united by the irresistible pull of Amps' mesmerizing sound. The ground beneath us seemed to pulse in rhythm, and for a moment, it felt like we were suspended in a magical trance.

As the night wore on, Amps continued to weave his sonic spells, seamlessly transitioning between eras and genres. He masterfully fused medieval lutes with modern synths, and the result was nothing short of enchanting. Time seemed to blur, and I lost myself in the music, carried away by the beats that resonated through the ages.

When the final notes hung in the air, and the last echoes of applause subsided, I knew I had witnessed something truly extraordinary. Amps had not only brought the past to life, but he had also created a moment that would be etched in the memories of every festival-goer fortunate enough to be there.

That night, as I made my way through the lantern-lit pathways of the Ren Faire, I couldn't help but feel a sense of gratitude. Amps had gifted us a transcendent experience, reminding us of the timeless power of music to connect us across centuries and cultures. It was a night I would carry with me, a cherished tale to share with fellow festival aficionados for years to come.
