Sounds reasonable, although I would suggest making it a new Complex Datapoint rather than modify the existing one. Collecting/showing both may help if situations like growth may not happen fast enough (there looks to be a 6+hr cool down on each growth) and you might still hit capacity before getting to 500GB.
