PropertySource VMware_vCenter_Autotune?

I see there is a "VMware_vCenter_Autotune" PropertySource in the repo that has a description of "Auto-tune VMware vCenter collection auto discovery and collection parameters". Brief review of the code seems to do various stuff but also create special properties like vm.pool and some vm.mode=light/full. As far as I know the existing LM VMware DataSource don't use these. Is there going to be a new vmware DS generation in the works? Or have some documentation I missed on what this PorpertySource might effect? VMware DataSource upgrades in LM can be complex and wide effecting, so would be nice to get a heads up on changes.
