Tried to use the UNC monitoring per https://www.logicmonitor.com/support/devices/device-datasources-instances/monitoring-web-pages-processes-services-and-unc-paths#unc ? It looks to have a BytesInDir datapoint you can set a threshold on. You can also use the admin share (like \\server\c$\) even if the folder is not normally shared out.
