Displaying Dashboards on a TV

Hello community,

We have a client that would to display Dashboards on TVs at remote sites.

Is there a method to display these without authentication?

I am aware that the widget tokens have a API Embedded URL Link that can be used but this doesn't appear to work with the current solution as the refreshing between custom made widget dashboards takes too long and scaling appears to be an issue.

Just wondering if anyone has their own solution they found to work for them.

Thanks,

  • Hi Justin,

We have a similar issue where we are relying off the embedded URLs to show any sort of information on our TV's. This pretty much limits our ability to show the info that we want to show on our TV's. To get around this we have come up with two ways: either using an extra laptop to cast to a specific tv, though this is hard to do if you have more than 2+ TV's. Another way that we are working on are purchasing a few raspberry Pi's to hook up to the TV's to properly cast whatever we want (dashboards to each TV).

It would be nice to see if the LogicMonitor side could come up with something to use embedded URLs to displays dashboards to some degree. I know thats easier said then done depending on the number of widgets on a dashboard. But so far that is what we've came up with. Hope that helps.

Something you could do maybe is use the Text Widget Source HTML Code option to display more than 1 "Embbeded URL" Widget and then just use the "Embedded URL' for the text widget for your single TV URL if that is your limitation.
