Disable datasources with a property

Similar to the [DataSourceName].pollinginterval, could you have something to disable a datasource without using the appliesto as an exclusion?
eg. [DataSourceName].disable
This would allow us to quickly disable a datasource for a group.

    In case you or others are not aware, you can disable a DataSource at the group level. Choose the group you want to change and go to the Alert Tuning tab. Choose "DataSources" (uiv4). Then locate the DataSource to disable and side "Collecting Status" off (uiv4) or uncheck "Enable" (uiv3).
