I have had a response back from LM CSM & service desk on this.
There is a documented solution which I completely overlooked!!
The tickbox - when logging into LM which states “Keep Me Signed In”
Normally to me, that means that it remembers password etc..
However, from initial testing it looks to do as needed.
Am waiting for a followup confirmation, but so far - so good.
That being said, it has been reported that the "Keep Me Signed In" is no longer working as expected. I have another Support ticket open, but have, again, not had much of a good response yet.
Will update here if/when the "Keep Me Signed In" setting works for local ( portal ) accounts again for me.

Hey GaryMorley , Were you able to find a workaround ? I am facing the same problem and need higher session timeout for NOC views.

As per the documentation "keep me signed in" seems the workaround but you said it isnt working as expected. can you elaborate on that pls ?

Hey there - For a short period of time the "Keep me signed in" was being ignored - and appeared to timeout at the designated 'timeout' period.
However, after a portal update - the setting began working again. ( I neglected to update here )
The other option ( which worked whilst I was troubleshooting the 'Keep me signed in' ) was to share the separate Widgets individually.

But, as far as I am aware now - the "Keep Me Signed In" is working a charm again.
