LogicMonitor’s Product Roadmap Roadshow Recap
We're thrilled to share a recap from our first Product Roadmap Roadshow hosted by the LM Community! Our Product team has been working hard to develop new features and improvements to enhance your LogicMonitor experience. The Product Roadmap Roadshow was a testament to LogicMonitor's commitment to innovation and customer-centric development. Our presenters discussed new features and improvements designed to enhance monitoring capabilities, streamline workflows, and provide deeper insights into your LM Envision environments. Let's dive into the exciting updates and upcoming events. What Was Covered Presenters: Taggart Matthiesen - Chief Product Officer Sarah Terry - Vice President, Product Management Patrick Rouse - Manager, Product Management Kristen Engelhardt - Vice President, Customer and Product Enablement Suzanne Shaw - Senior Community and Advocacy Manager New Features And Enhancements Resource Explorer: Say goodbye to the traditional resource tree! Our new Resource Explorer is designed for modern environments like Cloud and Kubernetes. It leverages metadata and tagging to help you quickly find and visualize resources. Service Insights: We're making creating services, especially in bulk, easier than ever, using properties. Look forward to enhanced metric aggregation and more intuitive views. Dashboard Improvements: We've added property filtering to eliminate the need for duplicate dashboards. Plus, you can now display properties alongside time series data in table widgets, and we've integrated logs directly into dashboards for a more comprehensive view. Topology Edge Status: Get a clearer picture of your network with our new feature showing the status, utilization, and latency of network connections in the topology view. Cost Optimization: We're introducing a more comprehensive and interactive cloud billing view, along with recommendations to optimize your cloud costs. Initially, we're focusing on AWS EC2 and EBS, with plans to expand in the future. Log Analysis: Leverage the power of natural language processing to summarize and provide sentiment analysis on log data. This feature allows for faster troubleshooting without the need for complex log queries. Q&A Session: Q: What is "LM Envison"? What does that include? A: LM Envision is the name of the LogicMonitor Hybrid Observability platform. Q: What are the benefits of Resource Explorer vs. Dashboards? A: Resource Explorer is a visualization tool used to show, search, group, and filter any LM Resource property, including inherited and custom properties. Q: Do you pull from Microsoft Government Cloud GCC and GCC API? A: We are working toward FedRAMP certification - GovCloud is something we’re starting to work on for FedRAMP, but we’re starting with AWS. Q: Any plans to expand LogicMonitor's ability to integrate platform-native metrics and analytics from services like Azure? There are a lot of mission critical metrics that we only have visibility into using Azure as native tooling today. A: Please just give us feedback on the specific things that you're looking for from Azure. The the way that that typically works is when we find there are a lot of customers looking for something that that they want us to pull in through Azure, we'll look at what's available through the APIs. There are some APIs, like the Azure Monitor API, that are really easy for us to interface we'll typically pull in what we can through there. There are other APIs that we can get information from there a little bit more difficult to interface with. Customer Call-outs “I use Resource Explorer to find stuff, for example show me my devices and group by firmware version, so I can see if there are alerts related to a specific firmware version.” “Resource Explorer has helped us as a MSP to handle security issues for Firewalls and networking devices we can use [Resource Explorer] to narrow down on who has effected versions of the firmware.” “I had been using the other methods other than support tickets based on conversations with folks in our account management, etc. [...] I feel as though the community is a better place since it can have a community discussion rather than the recommendation that disappears once submitted.” Upcoming Live Events: LM Training | LIVE We're excited to announce a series of special events designed just for you, our valued LogicMonitor community! Q&A Session: Q: When you started demoing Edwin AI to customers, what was some of the like critical feedback that you guys got that you realized needed to make some shifts or some updates? A: So there's a ton of feedback that we've gotten as we've been implementing Edwin AI to our customers. Users have been helping us update models and fine-tune them. We're actually in the process of prepping for our next release, which includes a revamp to our new UI, as we got some feedback around usability there. Q: What are you currently working on to improve the experience for customers using or wanting to use Edwin AI? A: There are three areas of improvement that we will continue to iterate on. The first is in our Gen AI features - how we can improve our summaries for users. Next is our integrations - identifying what can we integrate with next that we find our users are utilizing. Lastly, some UI adjustments since there’s always room for us to improve as you're interacting within Edwin AI, like reviewing insights or as you're looking at dashboards. Q: How does Edwin AI work for multi-tenant MSPs? A: A year ago, we introduced the tenant identifier feature in the LM Envision platform. We can now take that to the Edwin AI side and split it by your specific tenants when you set that parameter up. We also support multi-domains within ServiceNow, so if you like, you can have your specific tenants routed to a specific domain within ServiceNow if there's that degree of separation you need.
