vCloud Director Monitoring?
Does anyone know if there is built-in monitoring for this?
I don't see anything published and it does have an API.
Just reaching out to see if anyone here has custom build monitoring for it.

·2 years agoHi I have this xml file provided by LM. I have not as yet tried it but it might help you. Rename to .xml

OP2 years agoI don't see an attached document, but LM Support also provided me a very old dev DataSource that used a deprecated API version.
The script was a good base as I was able to rework it to use a Bearer Token instead and pull data I wanted.
I can publish it if there is interest but it's still a WIP.

·2 years agoWould like to see your work here as having some issues with the older DS I have. I can email it as this system will not allow me to send the xml file even after renaming!

OP1 year agoI've never published to the Exchange before but here are the codes if I did it right.
You'll need to manually apply the vCloud category and add the REST.user and REST.pass but I'm sure you can figure it out from there.
It's a good base to work from but I haven't had the chance to see what can be monitored yet. I stopped at the VMs and just put every non-numeric output to an instance property for now until I figure out what is valuable.

·1 year agoI still can't find them from those locator codes. I have been trying for a while thinking it was taking a while for them to pass LogicMonitor's review of them.
Do you happen to have them published somewhere else as well?
