Unable to discover Catalyst stack managed in Meraki

We have a new customer that has a Meraki environment managing native network equipment and they also have 2 C9300L-48UXG-4X Catalyst stack switches managed by Meraki.  We ran a LogicMonitor discovery using the Meraki API and all native devices were discovered, however only one of the Catalyst switches in the stack is being discovered.

From what I see, the catalyst switches all have the same IP and there is no way for me to bypass this in the LM discovery.  And since this the Catalyst switches are fully managed in Meraki, I have no option to discover via SNMP.

Is this an issue with one of the Cisco Meraki Logic Modules?

I am confused, why can't you discover it traditionally? We have never encountered an issue with this before.

  • Hi MibWalkin163031 ,

Did you check the UFW? And restart after configuring the collector? Rerun a, with the recommended properties:

    meraki.api.org (Org ID)

    meraki.api.key (API token)

SNMP creds for snmp.meraki.com if you want interface metrics

Include lmaccess.id  lmaccess.key so the NetScan can do duplicate checks the “new way”
