JDBC not collecting

...but there is seemingly no way of modifying the file in the UI any more. I have tried just setting those values in the Collector's custom properties to no avail:

Questions:

#1 Why/when was JDBC collection deprecated; and
#2: What's the approved way of monitoring Postgres these days?

    To edit the agent.conf, go to Settings -> Collectors -> select the row of the collector in question -> in the upper right of the bottom pane click the vertical ellipsis (three dots) -> Collector Configuration.
