ExpertExpertLogicmonitor wont let me save an Escalation chain without recipients or escalation chains.
NeophyteI believe the default escalation chain originally had no recipients. I suspect you changed that as most do.
You can create an escalation chain with no recipients; you must add at least one stage with no recipients.
Note: I tested that you can create an escalation chain this way, but did not test functionality.
ExpertI could not get that to work. It insisted I put a recipient on the stage 1.
BUT when I tried making a time-based chain, it did let me do that, and it even asked me if I intended to do so. So I do have one now for "Everyday" that is empty.
I guess I can try it.

NeophyteWeird..I was able to create one in both old and new UI.
ExpertIt must be a "me" thing. I tested it again right before I posted, and I got a red error when trying to add a stage but leaving it blank. But now it works for me too, even for a non-timed one.
I can only assume I did something different previous. So I guess it does work for me. Thanks. :)
