I currently have an active case regarding this matter. However, since it involves a Custom Datasource, the support team has informed me that they are unable to troubleshoot the script. Instead, they recommend having the resource send SNMP traps to the LogicMonitor portal upon events, which can then be ingested as alerts.
I've invested significant time into this project, and finally, I'm seeing the output. However, the only problem is that it's not triggering alerts. If you assist me in resolving this, it would greatly benefit us.If your script is outputting the format shown in the documentation, then LM is not performing properly and support should be helping you. If you're outputting the right format, you don't need help with the script, you need help getting LM to process the script and open alerts properly.
SNMP traps would be easier and better than email.
SNMP polling would be easier and better than SNMP traps.
