Does anyone use an Integration with MS Teams?

Hi,

I found these instructions and was starting to take a look at them:
https://www.logicmonitor.com/support/microsoft-teams-integration-setup#h-creating-microsoft-teams-workflows-for-integration

I got down to the part about creating the webhook and it looks like I have to hard code a specific channel.  The way we were going to use it is to have various teams get posts in their own channels any time they have an Alert come in.  Can that be done?

If we have 10 teams that get alerts, do I have to create 10 Flow integrations, one for each channel?  I was hoping to specify the channel ID from a property in LM or something like that.

I'm curious how anyone else uses this integration.

Thanks.

  • We don't currently use this integration, but I am pretty sure it is a 1:1 relationship between the Integration you create and the Teams Channel, but you can create multiple Integrations (and thus be pointing at different Channels).  From the doc you linked...

"Configuring the settings creates one instance of a Microsoft Teams integration in your LogicMonitor portal, and each instance integrates with one Microsoft Teams channel. You can configure as many instances as your environment needs."

So yes...you would have to setup multiple Integrations to do what you're wanting.

Yeah.  We're trying to cut down on the number of integrations we have so this would do the opposite.  :(
