Bug Report: New UI: Settings: Ability to create users

Even though our customer has access to manage Users, they can't (and want to) create new users.

Seems to be a bug - please fix.

  • This turned out to be something that was simply unclear in the UI when User creation is delegated to a role that constrains which User Groups the role can manage.

    In that case, the UI has a bug whereby the whole dialog just fails and closes, rather that indicating the constraint.

    The workaround is to ensure that Users are trained to always fill in the User Group field.

    So... bug is still there, but there is a workaround.

    Fastest way to report and have the visibility and resolution would be to raise a support case via your support portal

  • As discussed in other posts, sorry but no.  Bug reports should be in the open, so the community can comment and upvote issues also affecting them.

    I was embarrassed three times today on a customer call due to UIv4 issues.  Another one about Text widget rendering will be posted shortly.

    Instead of trying to sell my customers Edwin AI / Dexda when they don't even have ServiceNow, perhaps throw some of that Marketing money at more UIv4 dev and Q/A resources?
