If your snapshots are coming in as instances in the DataSource, you need only configure a discovery filter. Yours would look like this (assuming a multi-instance DS where snapshots are the instances):

We use Cisco HyperFlex extensively. A significant feature is the use of storage native snapshots that greatly reduce the impact snapshots have on VM's. In the case of HyperFlex this is always a root snapshot named SENTINEL. It is always present and rarely removed. If it is removed then it will be recreated by backup software, utilities, etc.
What I would like to do is prevent any snapshot named SENTINEL from being factored into the VM snapshot age alert.
