Uptime SLA report

It would be incredibly useful to be able to generate a realistic uptime report, but because of data aggregation there seems to be new useful measure of uptime reporting.

Neither ping nor uptime or host status gives reliable figures

  • Yes, and yes. We know it would be useful, and our current data aggregation isnt exceptionally helpful in that regard. For the near time, weve provided an Alert SLA report which enables you to see the percentage of time those datapoints were in alert over the last 30 days. For the longer term, were taking a good look at data storage and aim to provide this depth of detail later this year.

  • Has any update been provided on useful SLA reporting? We would like to have certain datapoints stored indefinitely (at least 3 years) with infinite resolution (down to the minute) so we can accurately project whether we adhered to our SLAs.

  • The answer to this is two fold. After an exceptional amount of work, our new data granular data storage is ready for production. We've been writing to it for a few weeks, and will be turning on read functionality before the end of the year. This will provide the down to the minute resolution you're looking for.

At the same time, we're working on enhancements to our reports. The Service Level Agreement report will be able to give you more accurate details as is, and we'll be adding some more configuration options over the next few months. You'll also be able to get any of this data out from our API.

The length of time the data is stored is based on your current package, I recommend reaching out to your account manager (or using Chat with Engineer to get in touch) for your specific storage period.

  • The SLA report has received a lot of updates lately, with a few more in the works.  It might be worth revisiting, hopefully it meets your needs.
