SNMP Trap External Alert Limitation

LM has a message size limitation when using the SNMP Trap external Alerting as stated below:

"With SNMP trap delivery your collector will send an SNMP trap to a SNMP trap server for each alert triggered on the group(s) specified.  Note that SNMP traps must be less than 1024 bytes, so the message may be truncated"

Has anyone implemented a workaround to get more than 1024 bytes?
