Run debug command - Syntax For Special Characters (Repost)

The LogicMonitor techdocs instruct users to use the \'\'Run Debug Commands\'\' for a few reasons. However, there are no instructions on syntax. Please post an explanation as to how that command line interprets special characters (I have passwords with ~ ! and @, do I need to use escape characters?) , and how to enter windows domain credentials (should we use domain\username or username@domain, or are both acceptable?)
