Network Topology Maps

We are just implementing LM at our business. We have used Solarwinds NPM, and PRTG in the past. I was wondering if there was some kind of network topology mapping available in LM that I am missing?

Thanks!

  • Ok. Wow. Been a while on that request. Thanks for the info! Guess we'll have to use another tool in the meantime.

  • Hi Everyone,

We are in an active beta for Topology Mapping  and we will be launching to production portals soon.

For your reference, please see the screenshot below - I blurred out some sensitive info and FQDNs.

  • Any better ball park figure on release date? If not, are you looking for additional beta testing sites?

  • Are there any details you can release about the mapping function? I see the icons for alerts, will we be able to click on them for a fast report on the issue? Will it have additional indicators for such things as bandwidth usage between devices, ie, the lines between devices showing as green < 80% and red > 95%?

  • @Phillip

We are anticipating a Q2 release for Topology.

And yes, you can click on the alert icon on the map to see any alerts in respect to the given resource.

As for link status, we are actively looking at ways to incorporate that functionality.

  • Is the beta closed or open? If it's open to partners, I'd like to sign up to test it. Also, will this be included with a base enterprise license agreement, or an addon?

    Thanks!
