Need for SNMP Trap Description monitoring

The communications platform application we support and wish to monitor writes most of it's key logging to the event viewer, but has SNMP Traps for every event message it writes.    But in order to monitor these traps, we need to be able to parse the Description field in the SNMP trap to tell them apart as the application we work with uses this field to differentiate them and tends to have similar event ID's for the events.

We are looking at a 3rd party product to convert event logs to syslog, but we would like to use the native SNMP traps that exist.   Hopefully others out there may have similar needs and could weigh in on this request to add strength and backing to it.
