Monitor when an IP address changes when pinging via DNS

We have a client who has a cable circuit as their primary but will fail over to a 4G modem. We need to monitor when the circuit fails over to 4G and when it switches back to the cable modem. They use DYN DNS for these modems so the external DNS never changes however the external IP can change on the 4G modem, so we can't constantly send a ping and only monitor when it comes up and goes down. My thought process is to monitor by pinging the DNS entry and when the IP address that responds changes from the cable circuit it will alert and then will alert again when the ping switches back to the cable circuit. I, however, have no idea how to accomplish this in LogicMonitor.

I'm not entirely sure if LogicMonitor can accomplish this, but it would be a great help to us if it could.
