Hosted collector that would allow sending data directly to LogicMonitor

The goal is to be able to pump data directly to LogicMonitor without the need for a local collector. This would be good for remote offices that only have network equipment or any devices that that the ability to send data (Netflow, Syslog, ect) . If I could just point this data directly to LogicMonitor, and bypass the need for running a local collector (or VPN to one), it would simplify the setup to some degree. Not sure if there a lot of situations where people would only need this type of data, but it seems useful and shortens the trip.

My original intent was to try to push extensive data items like syslog and netflow to LogicMonitor from my network equipment as the first step towards migrating away from the current monitoring solution. Our monitoring software limits the amount of data I can store/analyze and I don\'t want to bog it down more.

  • Timely, we were just discussing how this might work. Thanks for the feedback on use cases (and need)!

  • The feature is recognized and something we have on the to do list, but it hasn't been scheduled as of yet.
