Looking for a datasource to monitor ESX Hosts, specifically for when a failover occurs on a ESX host for our vCenters.
I have gone through all the VMware_vSphere_(Datasources) and do not see anything that will alert when that failover occurs.
Any suggestions?
Have you looked at "VMware_vCenter_AdmissionControl" and "VMware_vSphere_ClusterPerformance" ?
We've used a No Data alert on VMware_vSphere_HostPerformance, Delta alerts on VMware_vSphere_ClusterPerformance and delta alerts on VMware_vCenter_ObjectCount to catch similar events, maybe not exactly what you're looking for.
