Backup Software Reports

Hi,

All of our customers have backup software installed with a daily backup scheduled. In our previous monitoring software they had created rules to report on backup completions/failures. It would be great if you could add these as default rules so that we would get notifications of backup failures. I appreciate there are hundreds of different types of backup software out there, however if you could pick the most common ones im sure people would find it useful. Most of them report to Windows Event Viewer with success/failure messages.

The ones that we use are:

Symantec Backup Exec

Yosemite/Barracuda Backup

ArcServ Backup

This would be a very useful feature and one that we miss from our last monitoring software. I have tried to set it up however have failed, i never seem to get the report.

    Yeah, our backup software does that too, however we look after about 50 clients so getting that many emails every day is a bit of a pain. It would be much easier to look at a dashboard with them all on, as we currently do with our other monitoring software.
