Alerts Tab - Filter to see Cleared (Non-Active) Alerts

This would involve a "Cleared" drop down in the filtering options. The options being "Active", "Cleared" and "Both".

If "Cleared" or "Both" are selected, this would require a date range to be defined, defaulting to the previous 24 hours perhaps?

This would make finding previous alerts much easier to find than trawling through past alert messages or manually going through the "Show Alert History" of each host by process of elimination, this is very time consuming.

  • Were working on something like this - an event stream that will show alerts starting, acknowledging, ending, being SDTd, etc, that will be searchable and filterable.

  • Great, this is much welcomed news :)/emoticons/smile@2x.png 2x" width="20" height="20"> I look forward to being able to see cleared alerts on this tab. This tab has a lot of potential (those other ideas are great too).

  • This is available now in the Alerts tab of the New UI, if you choose to enable that for your user.  Let us know your comments!

  • Great, this is an improvement, however, this seems to allow filtering of only cleared alerts. I was hoping this would be both cleared and active i.e. as originally suggested The options being Active, Cleared and Both.rnIt would also be a great enhancement if there was the ability to save a filter selections rather than having to re-select them every time the browser is re-opened (i.e. every day)

  • When you click More to enable the Cleared filter (which also shows the Cleared on column) it defaults to yes for the filter. (i.e. showing only cleared alerts.)  But you can then select the down triangle next to the Cleared filter, and change it to All, Yes, or No.  Make sense? Apparently not evident enough - Ill pass that to UI team. (And being able to save filters is coming, too.)

  • Ah yes, I see that now you point it out, thanks. Yes, it clearly isn't obvious enough, not to me anyway. Perhaps renaming the filter to Cleared Only and having another filter Include Cleared, which defaults the triangle to All, would work better.  Great, Ill look out for the Save Filter feature.
