I’m looking forward to sharing this space with you.

Morning All, my name is Chris. I’m a NOC Engineer at Netgain Technology, a multi-industry MSP based out of Minnesota.  I’m part of small team (shoutout @Cole McDonald) using LM to monitor infrastructure and resources of our internal environment as well as our client’s, in both public and private cloud.

Outside of work; I’ve got two cats (both rescued strays) and in my free time enjoy gaming (digital, board games, TTRPGs, MtG), MAKEing (3D Printing, Miniature Painting, Resin crafting, Woodwork, Sublimation printing, laser cutting, etc), as well as experiencing good food, beer, and whiskey!

I jumped straight in this morning and overlooked this part.

My name is Cole and I work with @chris.lenz at Netgain Technology.  I was previously at Beyond Impact and managed the LM deployment there as well as SCOM before they changed over to LogicMonitor.

I’ve been programming and making things using computers since the mid-70s.  First programming experience was done on a teletype and saved to punch cards.

I am a Father, Husband, Filmmaker, Off-Roader, Fencer, Performer, Archaeologist.  I think it’s important to challenge normal and question standards.  I don’t believe in the “box” to think outside of.

Ha! Fellow MTG player (@chris.lenz), we need a meetup next time there’s an in person LevelUp. Been playing since ‘94. Been making with 3d printers and RPi since 5-6 years ago. I’m also an off-roader (@Cole McDonald) with my Jeep helping with hurricane cleanup in TX and LA since 2017 (meet my jeep).

I worked at LM from 2019-2022 when I switched over to working for Aqueduct Technologies, an MSP out of Boston serving mostly the New England area. Most of you have probably heard of me, because I was a pretty vocal part of the old community, unofficially holding the reins. I’ve been in the IM space since 2006 when I joined NetQoS right out of college (LA Tech).

@chris.lenz & @Stuart Weenig hah I just started playing MTG with my 8 year old.

I work for a national MSP. We utilize LogicMonitor both internally and for our clients. I manage the team and own all the internal infrastructure for our MS side along with the tools we utilize to keep that side of the company afloat.

I come from a manufacturing IT background, so I am used to supporting things twice my age and making them talk to things brand new.

As for the personal side of life, I mainly hang out with my family, play video games and just enjoy life.

@Stuart Weenig said I had to post pix of my jeep or it doesn’t exist.

@Stuart Weenig That meetup idea sounds excellent!  I mainly play limited for in-store events and Commander with friends.  Started playing back during 5th edition then took a big break until Khans of Tarkir; been pretty consistent since then.

@Joe Williams Good on ya playing with your kid; it’s always fun seeing younger players get into the game. I expect to see several parent/kid pairs at prerelease events this weekend for the new set!

Sounds like there’s some wheeling that needs to happen as a second meetup when we’re all in TX!

Indeed. Perhaps the first community super-user outing should be out to Hidden Falls!

Greetings all.  I’m fairly new to LogicMonitor as a Technical Trainer.  I’m hoping I will get to know many of you over the next few years.

I live in the Salt Lake City, Utah area and in my spare time I enjoy the many outdoor activities in the area. My wife and I try to get outdoors as much as we can.  In addition, I’m an avid follower of Australian Rules Football (AFL), having lived there in the past and was indoctrinated into the sport back at the Ansett Cup of 2000.  I am an international member of two senior AFL clubs and have been for 19 years now. I have even played the sport when living in Denver, Colorado and building a fledgling USAFL team (unfortunately now defunct).

Here in Salt Lake, we unfortunately don’t have a USAFL team to follow, but do have Major League Rugby’s Utah Warriors.  My wife and I are both members of the Warriors Ohana supporters group and try to get to as many games as we can, frequently hosting tail gating in the parking lot with our Sprinter camper van.

Before I rattle on too much, I’ll stop at this point. I look forward to meeting and working with you all.

Barry

Hello!  - A quick intro, my name is Richard Brooke, I am a Technical Trainer here at Logicmonitor, I look forward to help in spreading the work and knowledge of the LM platform.

I am Chicago based, I love Chicago, I have traveled the world and I consider Chicago a top word class city, but I am an avid skier and well its awful for skiing, we got great snow but not much downhill.  Besides skiing, I am active the the beer/brewing community.  I help run and judge in one of the top 5 competitions, in the US The United States Beer Tasting Championships - www.usbtc.com.

Looking forward to spreading the knowledge of LM

Hi everyone, great to meet you all, my name is Charley and I’m a Customer Success Manager based in the UK! I was one of our first people on the ground in EMEA back in 2015 and was here for 3 years before exploring some other roles … however I knew I’d end up back at LM as I love the product, the culture, and the community. I re-joined in January 2022 and am very excited to continue working with everyone.

On a personal note I live in the 6th smallest city in the UK, and our cathedral featured on the album cover for The Division Bell by Pink Floyd! I have a 2 year old rescue dog from Cyprus called Toula who arrived just before Christmas 2022, and I am half kiwi!

@bballard I’m not much for sports but I do love food; what’re the top three things that you make when tailgating?

@Richard Brooke I’ve got to admit I’m jealous of your judging and the breadth of beer you must have tried as part of it.  I like to think MN has a pretty thriving and top-tier beer community, have you ever come across any stand-out brews from my neck of the woods?  What would you say are your top pours and/or breweries out there now?

Userlevel 1

@chris.lenz the top three things for tailgating are brats, burgers and beer.  I’d do meat pies, which would be more appropriate for rugby, but no oven in the Sprinter and microwaved pies don’t quite cut it.

OK… So My wife and I are looking to be in the Austin area sometime during the last week in March.  Visiting family in the Houston area, then over the New Orleans before heading back North.  We are driving and will have the jeep in the Austin area… probably either Saturday or Sunday March 25/26.  This wheeling trip in Marble Falls might be able to happen somewhat soonish.
