Anyone use the LogicMonitor Powershell module?

I would like to update the report group of multiple reports and I have been using get-lmreportgroup and get-lmreport to get the relevant properties however get-lmreport does not give me the full list of reports there are quite a few missing when compared to looking at the list in the UI. I am running the current version of LogicMonitor powershell module (v6.5.4).

Does anyone use the powershell module to configure anything in LogicMonitor?

Cheers!

  • Hi Gareth,

I maintain the PowerShell module. I don’t believe the issue is with the module as it’s more of an API limitation. Can you compare the list of reports you get back using the legacy reports UIv3 and with what you get back from PowerShell? I don’t think reports created in UIv4 will show up in the v3 API at the moment.

Hiya, I have compared the list of reports between ui3 and ui4 and there is definitely a difference between the two. So ui3 lists 31 reports and ui4 shows 59 so it looks like the powershell module only works with ui3 API at the moment. Do you know if the module will get updated to ui4 at some point?

I know it’s being worked on but I’m not sure on the timeframe for it. Let me check with the PM for the LM API and get back to you.

Hi Gareth, that's a great question! I don’t have an answer yet, but I’m looking into it and will get you a response as soon as possible. I appreciate your patience!
