Overview

We kicked off our new webinar series, Product Power Hour, with a bang! The January Product Power Hour brought the LM Community together to explore the new UI (UIv4) and unlock its potential. Our product leaders highlighted impactful features, live demonstrations, and upcoming enhancements designed to make your work faster and easier. With real-world tips, customer feedback, and a lively Q&A, this was all about helping users get the most out of the revamped LM Envision platform.

Key Highlights

  • A Smarter, Faster UI Built for You: the new UI is designed to make your life easier. From intuitive navigation to cleaner visuals, everything is optimized for efficiency. Say goodbye to clunky workflows and hello to faster troubleshooting with tools like Resource Explorer for dynamic resource discovery and topology maps that give you a clearer view of your environment.
  • Features That Boost Your Workflow: Whether you're fine-tuning alerts, visualizing topology, or filtering data at the instance level, the new UI is packed with tools to make your day-to-day tasks more efficient. Upcoming updates include enhanced alert tuning, instance-level property filtering, and topology edge health status—all designed to streamline operations. Plus, dashboard performance fixes will ensure faster load times, paired with new widgets like logs in dashboards and topology views to make monitoring more actionable than ever.
  • Your Feedback in Action: LogicMonitor is committed to actively using your feedback to shape the product. Whether it’s smoothing out UI quirks, adding requested features, or improving performance, your voice is driving these changes. We have shared specific context and feedback from this session directly with our product leaders, and have already had some follow-up with our attendees, or add to our list of what we can do.

Q&A

Q: What's the timeline for retiring the old UI?

A: We plan to phase out the old UI page by page rather than all at once, with plenty of advance notice. Currently, no specific dates are set.

Q: Are there any tips for users who are hesitant to switch to the new UI?

A: Getting used to the new UI is easier than it seems. Start by exploring features like Resource Explorer and dashboards that mirror what you’re already doing in the old UI. Flexing that “new UI muscle” will make the transition smoother, and many practitioners find they prefer it after diving in.

Q: How can users provide feedback about the new UI?

A: Users can submit feedback through the support page in the portal, through their CSMs, or directly through the community team.

“I can honestly say I was resisting further new UI use, but every concern I had was fixed when I tried it today.”
