Are there any alert attributes (in the get alerts API) present that can help in fetching both the new and modified alerts (alerts with change in severity, alerts that got cleared etc). within a time interval. Basically we want to know how does LM notify if any alerts have been updated.
Hello, I would like to know if anyone has configured monitoring and alerting of vmotion. I was looking at a straight forward configuration. Support could not provide anything as LM out the box does not monitor at that level. I have a vmcluster which the VM's keep failing over the VM guests to one host about once or twice a week. I am not able to find the cause and thought LM monitoring and alerting would help. any and all help appreciated.
We're trying to setup an alert from a SNMP trap. The alert will send SMS and Voice Call. You can imagine how it sounds to get a voice call with all the unformatted output below. The ##VALUE## of the output is as follows: 126.96.36.199.4.1.1214.1.10: Schedule 188.8.131.52.4.1.1214.1.11: sysops 184.108.40.206.4.1.1214.1.12: ENAW-TID 220.127.116.11.4.1.1214.1.13: ENAW-ETL03P 18.104.22.168.4.1.1214.1.3: 1 22.214.171.124.4.1.1214.1.4: 1 126.96.36.199.4.1.1214.1.5: Critical Alert 04-01-2021 ETL03p SNMP TEST Job #2 The system cannot find the path specified. 188.8.131.52.4.1.1214.1.6: 2195603 184.108.40.206.4.1.1214.1.7: ETL03p SNMP TEST Job #2 220.127.116.11.4.1.1214.1.8: 11 18.104.22.168.4.1.1214.1.9: 3 enterpriseOid: 22.214.171.124.4.1.1214 generalCode: 6 snmpVersion: v1 specificCode: 1 sysUpTime: 1511109 trapVariableBindingCount: 11 Would there be a way to format the ##VALUE## or use a different token so that the alert only shows information under trap OID 126.96.36.199.4.1.1214.1.5? So the value would look more like "Critical Alert 04-01-2021 ETL
Hello, I am curious if there is a way that I would be able to have an device only alert during specific times of the day. Additionally I was wondering if there was a way that we could monitor a device group but NOT have the alerts generated appear within the default Alerts Pannel. Thanks in Advance!
Hi All, first post on the forums. I'm trying to setup some monitoring of our MSSQL replication to try and keep a track and see when it fails or issues crop up. I've tried to create a data source but am not 100% sure what i'm doing in the groovy space. I've grabbed a script that does a SQL query as a base, but i need to run a procedure (sp_replmonitorhelppublication) instead. For active discovery i'm not getting any instances. What i have is below and would be great if anyone could poing me into the right direction as to where i've gone wrong? In this case, mssl.MSSQLSERVER.replication_url looks like jdbc:sqlserver://server_name:1433;databasename=distribution;integratedSecurity=false;applicationIntent=ReadOnly (mainly because i didn't know how to specify the database in groovy) import groovy.sql.Sql // Get basic info def hostname = hostProps.get("system.hostname") def sqlInstances = hostProps.get("mssl.MSSQLSERVER.replication_url") ?: hostProps.get("auto.sql_ser
I am running a powershell script to get the CPU utilization of each process and it is showing when running test script as attached to this question. To store it in device it is showing as percentage of CPU and not application name. How to store as application name ? Can someone help on how to save each application CPU utilization in Logicmonitor as every time some application may be having utilization and some may not ?
Hello, I have the following Active Discovery script: far the Active Discovery script is: ##--------------- Discovery ------------------## $pshost = Get-Host # Get the PowerShell Host. $pswindow = $pshost.UI.RawUI # Get the PowerShell Host's UI. $newsize = $pswindow.BufferSize # Get the UI's current Buffer Size. $newsize.width = 800 # Set the new buffer's width to 800 columns. $pswindow.buffersize = $newsize # Set the new Buffer Size as active. $newsize = $pswindow.windowsize # Get the UI's current Window Size. $newsize.width = 800 # Set the new Window Width to 800 columns. $pswindow.windowsize = $newsize # Set the new Window Size as active. $readOnly = [System.Security.Cryptography.X509Certificates.OpenFlags]"ReadOnly" $localMachine = [System.Security.Cryptography.X509Certificates.StoreLocation]"LocalMachine" $store = new-object System.Security.Cryptography.X509Certificates.X509Store( "\\##SYSTEM.SYSNAME##\my", $localMachine
Hello Team, Could you please me find out how to change the 'default ' values to some specific Email or link it to the Alert Rules in my Settings. I need to do this only for this specific alert on my Server.. Rest Alert will be goin to different mail ids. Regards, Ashi
Hello, I have the discovery script: Quote ##--------------- Discovery ------------------## $pshost = Get-Host # Get the PowerShell Host. $readOnly = [System.Security.Cryptography.X509Certificates.OpenFlags]"ReadOnly" $localMachine = [System.Security.Cryptography.X509Certificates.StoreLocation]"LocalMachine" $store = new-object System.Security.Cryptography.X509Certificates.X509Store( "\\##SYSTEM.SYSNAME##\
wondering if anyone has created any custom datasources for Avaya specific monitoring. We need to monitor a large Avaya environment with multiple different type of Avaya servers/devices. OOTB in LM, there is just one DS that does generic cpu, disk, mem monitoring They do seem to have snmp support so we can create our own LogicModules but thought to check here first in case someone already created any DSs that they'd be able to share? Thanks, muiz
Hello LM folks, Due to the fact of LM not suppressing SNMP Traps, we've came up with an idea to do it ourselves (leveraging the API). However, we need to somehow listen to those traps via Groovy scripting (if possible of course). This doesn't seem doable but, doesn't hurt to ask. Did anyone accomplished/had this need in the past? Thanks!
Info: Groovy script is the base for the environment and certainly the target/end device must be a linux-based, be it a distro of Linux server/desktop or an appliance with linux-kernel firmware (err...it's basically almost every device then: firewalls, switches, IDS/IPS, LB, Apple devices, Android devices, etc....it seems all gadgets on the planet using linux kernel) It is a request some years ago (seems so long though, which actually is +2 years) by a LogicMonitor's Customer: /topic/524-ssh-key-based-auth-for-groovy-scripts-datasources/ Obviously, this is not an official datasource crafted by the amazing Monitoring Engineering team of LogicMonitor, but patting my own back, it suffices to say that it serves the purpose for a better security connecting remotely which has been a common best-practice by anyone who enjoys text-based command line remote session. SSH Key is used over the option of sending password due to the apparent reason of information security, althoug
Hi, I am trying to use trial version of LogicMonitor. In the try it free form, my details were collected. Upon submitting the filled try it free form, I am shown a page where I am asked to check my inbox for next steps. But I have not received any email How do i create a new account?
Hi Team, we have datasources in place for traditionl Citrix but dont have anything in place for Citrix Cloud with workloads operating on Azure. Is there a datasource in the works that can monitor Citrix Cloud services? I read below and wanted to understand if there was something we can do using this? https://www.citrix.com/community/citrix-developer/xenapp-xendesktop/monitor-service-odata-api-.html https://developer-docs.citrix.com/projects/monitor-service-odata-api/en/latest/ Any help is appreciated. Thank you
Hello, I am trying to add some monitoring in for an Avaya IPO system. From what i read this is something that we should be able to do but I am not finding that discovery is not identifying anything more than the host status and SSL certificates applied. Are there certain system properties and or features that i have to enable on the collector in order to obtain some deeper inventory/monitoring functionality? Thanks in Advance!
We enabled restrict login to SSO and now want to change this configuration setting back but can't see the option to now. After making this change we are prompted every time to use SSO (which makes sense) but even as admin the screen where this setting was has changed to the attached screenshot where no options exist..
