Optimizing Dashboard Views for Large Displays
Summary: Olivia Barn is working on optimizing custom dashboards in LogicMonitor for different screen setups, particularly focusing on large displays in a Network Operations Center (NOC). They are looking for advice on scaling widgets, adjusting grid layouts, and font sizes to maintain readability on a 4k monitor. Olivia Barn is also interested in best practices for dashboard design on high-resolution displays and whether dynamic dashboard variables can enhance visibility on large screens.
Hi everyone,
While working on custom dashboards in LogicMonitor, I’ve been refining how different widgets display across various screen setups in our NOC. The metrics, alert widgets, and topology maps are all functioning well, but I’m looking to further optimize layout consistency and readability, especially for wall-mounted displays.
We recently set up a 4k monitor in our operations room, and the additional screen space has been fantastic for visualizing multiple dashboards side by side. I’m exploring best practices for scaling widgets, adjusting grid layouts, and fine-tuning font sizes so everything remains clean and easy to interpret at a glance.
Are there recommended dashboard design guidelines for high-resolution displays? Also, has anyone leveraged dynamic dashboard variables to improve visibility in large-screen environments?
