I need assistance in setting up monitoring for Cisco dial‑peer busyout status in LogicMonitor.
Cisco does not provide an OID for monitoring busyout via SNMP, so we need to achieve this using SSH‑based command execution from the Collector.
Requirement Details:
We need LogicMonitor to run the following command on the Cisco voice gateway every 5 minutes:
show dial-peer voice summaryFrom the command output, we need to identify the STAT column for each dial‑peer.
A dial‑peer can be in two relevant states:
Active
Busyout
ws busyout, LogicMonitor should trigger an alarm.Monitoring should ideally create instances per dial‑peer (TAG) so alerts are easy to identify.

·7 months agoThere are several free AI platforms out there that should get you %90 of the way there. You just may have to tweak the script to fit your specific needs. I've always found it helpful to find a script that's using a similar function (SSH to run a command) for example to create a custom DS. The Cisco_CUCM_LatestBackup data source would be similar; SSH to device; runs a command; parses output to get status of latest backup.
