      New Dashboard colors are an issue

      I appreciate the passion behind the new dashboard, however the new UI is 3 steps back. I will copy and paste my comment on a previous post as our team cannot be the only ones who are concerned with this rollout. we have our logic monitor on large TVs throughout our suite, this is to give us a quick view on site status, the colors were a solid green for good or red for bad, this was clean and easily viewed. the new color scheme contains green font with a very washed out green for good, and a very washed out pink for down. on TVs this does not translate well, and unless you stand directly in front of the TVs, you could not for certain tell the status of a site. "While I understand and appreciate the improvements around filtering, sharing, and overall usability, I’ve identified a challenge with the updated color scheme that is impacting day-to-day operations. In the previous UIv3 dashboards, device and service status was very easy to interpret at a glance, with strong visual indicators (green for up, red for down) applied to the background. In the new dashboard experience, the status indication relies on much lighter color variations and changes primarily to the font rather than the background. As a result, it’s significantly harder to quickly distinguish between healthy and unhealthy states, especially when scanning multiple devices or dashboards. From an operational standpoint, this reduces the effectiveness of dashboards as a “quick-glance” tool, which is one of their primary use cases for monitoring and incident response. I would strongly recommend considering an option to enable more prominent visual indicators (such as background-based color coding or higher-contrast status themes) to restore that immediate visibility."

      Active Discovery Sorting

      What's the trick to sorting with Active Discovery? I have the following instance values and I am trying to sort them numerically. I've tried playing with this different ways but no luck. I have multiple jobs with associated job ID's and I'd like to have them sorted numerically. Tried different variations and no luck. Any ideas? def instanceId = "${row.JobID}0000${row.StepID}" def instanceId = "${row.StepID}.${row.Job}" def instanceId = "${row.JobID}${row.StepID}" def instanceId = "${row.JobID}_${row.StepID}" println "${instanceId}##${displayName}

      Reporting on Collectors with specific preferred collector set

      I'm looking for a way to find out what resources I have that have a specific collector set rather than auto-balanced. I have an inventory report setup to output collector details. However, this is spitting out specific collectors rather than telling me it's auto-balanced. The context behind this is that I'm adding new collectors with a view to decommissioning old collectors. I need to check that nothing has the old collectors set statically so that when I shut them down, there's no gap in monitoring.

      Custom Topology Mapping

      Good morning, Has anyone been able to reverse engineer the new topology mapping features? I want to be able to create my own connection and show the "Instances" that connect the 2 and maybe even add the new throughput modules to show extra data. I see the output is something like: edges << [ "type": "", "from": "", "to": "", "displayType": "", "fromInstance": "", "toInstance": "", "fromInstanceEdgeType": "", "toInstanceEdgeType": "", "instanceEdgeType": "", "fromHealthData": [ "Utilization": [ "Tx": [ "SNMP_Network_Interfaces": "InUtilizationPercent" ], "Rx": [ "SNMP_Network_Interfaces": "OutUtilizationPercent" ] ], "Packet Loss": [ "Tx": [ "SNMP_Network_Interfaces": "InDiscardPercent" ], "Rx": [ "SNMP_Network_Interfaces": "OutDiscardPercent" ] ], "Throughput": [ "Tx": [ "SNMP_Network_Interfaces": "InMbps" ], "Rx": [ "SNMP_Network_Interfaces": "OutMbps" ] ] ], "metaData": [ "vlans": "1" ], "metricReportingNode": "From" ] But there is no documentation / training to explain how this works or to recreate it. I've been able to map a resource to resource and even an instance to instance but i've not been able to click onto the link and show the "connection details" like it does for Network Interfaces for any of my custom topologies. Let me know if anyone has figured this out or if LM has any input on this information. Thanks!

      How to start monitoring with oci_ modules

      Hi. I was willing to try the OCI_ datasources which are available now, but how to get these working? I added the correct category to my server properties. The datasource shows up in the LM screen at my server, but no data is coming up. I assume I need some kind of authentication to allow LM to read the data from OCI, but can not find it anywhere how to do that (or just overlooking it). If anybody can share a link on how to fix, would be great. Have a nice day! Jeroen

      Brocade discovery

      This seems like a newb question but how in the world do SAN switches get discovered completely in LM? There's no device type. There's no apparent documentation on it, the only thing under "Broadcom" is VMware. Are FC switches not anything to be discovered or where can one find the secret decoder ring? I should add that I've setup SNMP on the switch, populated the properties on the device, but the discovery seems limited to generic useless stuff and doesn't recognize it is Brocade at all. The modules are not being used. thanks

      Request: Classify “No resources added” NetScan outcome as Success/Informational

      Hi Team, Please classify NetScans that complete successfully but add 0 resources as Success/Informational (e.g., “Completed — 0 resources added”) instead of Failure in UI/Health/Reports. This outcome is normal for API‑based discoveries like Cisco Meraki Advanced/Enhanced NetScans. Alternatively, add a per‑NetScan toggle: “Zero new resources = Success.” Apply status consistently across NetScan pages, Health Check, and summary reports. Note: Enhanced Script NetScan already exposes duplicate‑handling options but zero‑add remains a valid, expected result and should not be flagged as a failure. Regards, Maithri S N

      Optimizing Dashboard Views for Large Displays

      Hi everyone, While working on custom dashboards in LogicMonitor, I’ve been refining how different widgets display across various screen setups in our NOC. The metrics, alert widgets, and topology maps are all functioning well, but I’m looking to further optimize layout consistency and readability, especially for wall-mounted displays. We recently set up a 4k monitor in our operations room, and the additional screen space has been fantastic for visualizing multiple dashboards side by side. I’m exploring best practices for scaling widgets, adjusting grid layouts, and fine-tuning font sizes so everything remains clean and easy to interpret at a glance. Are there recommended dashboard design guidelines for high-resolution displays? Also, has anyone leveraged dynamic dashboard variables to improve visibility in large-screen environments?
