Nice Idea. Terrible Execution.

This has got to be one of the worst executions of any training event I've seen.
I signed up for Ski School, got the confirmations, registered for the weekly calls/sessions and added them to my calendar. The first week went fine. The second week, not so much. I never got the confirmation with the meeting invite. The third week, I got the confirmation and meeting invite, but when I tried to click on the link provided to join the call, it wouldn't work. Today, I tried to log into LM Academy and suddenly it's behind a pay wall. It says to enter your customer domain, which I do, and instead of taking me to LM Academy, it takes me to my LM instance. Now when I try to get into LM Academy, I get this:
504 Gateway Timeout ERROR
The request could not be satisfied.
We can't connect to the server for this app or website at this time. There might be too much traffic or a configuration error. Try again later, or contact the app or website owner.

Admin5 months agoHi Mark. Appreciate the candid feedback, and I apologize personally for your negative experience. I get it. There have been more technical issues than acceptable on our end. We aim to do better, have made some changes, and will make more changes in the future to address these issues (and others that we encountered).
That said, good news is that LM Academy is free! No pay wall! The 504 gateway error occurs when LM Academy is opened in a different browser window than the Envision portal. Try opening LM Academy in the same browser window as LM Envision and see if that resolves access. If not, let's hop on a call to ensure your situation is resolved.

Actually, you must have LM Portal and then you will have "free" access to LM Academy. But you can't get free LM Portal.
So any user who is not using LM, but want to learn something about LM in the LM Academy won't be able to do that without buying LM first.
(Sure there is free LM trial, but there is no response when I was trying that).

Admin5 months agoHi Jan. That's correct. Currently, LM Academy is only available and free for LM customers. However, we are actively working to make it accessible (and free!) to the broader community. When we achieve that technically, we'll announce availability here in LM Community. Stay tuned!

·5 months agoGreat. Please make it open and user friendly, e.g. use SSO with standard public IDPs Google, GitHub, ... Make sure there is option for existing users to move/migrate from account with paid LM portal to open (no LM portal needed) option.
Please make open option also for developer: there is no free LM portal if I want to develop something for LM.
