Does this still work? I'm having issues getting this to work.

We are using Rubrik Secure Cloud, RSC, but I'm told this integration will not work with RSC. I've since tried setting this up local/direct on one appliance but still no luck.

Any update as far as the dashboard is concerned for this Rubrik?

Since our upgrade to version 8 none of the Rubrik datasources work. Are there plans to update these data sources to accommodate for this? I think it has something to do with the new authentication methods @Andrey Kitsen

@DanB it doesn't look like we ever made an official note of this during development, but it looks like Rubrik offers a Read Only Administrator role. That may provide more read access than is needed, but should work.

Sorry I can't give you a better answer. These are fairly popular modules though, someone else may chime in. I've also posted this in the internal module related chat in hopes of getting you a better answer.

@Andrey Kitsen regarding the users for this datasource "Requires rubrik.user & rubrik.pass be set." what permissions does the user require. I have a client asking for the minimum permissions needed and I'm looking for any documentation to provide him from an official source.

Also still don't see any of the dashboards on github. Any ETA on these? Thanks!!!

We'll be putting together a dashboard once the modules are officially released.

It's possible to write DataSources in any language your collector will execute today with Upload Script.

We are looking at an official release of these Rubrik modules in Q1. If you can provide a device for us to develop and test against, please reach out to your CSM.

If you look over the existing Groovy code, you can see that I pretty much templatized it all. You would only need to revisit the post processing of the returned data, which I don't see it being too different to the other existing reports DataSources.

I definitely love me some Python and wish I can write embedded Python code the same way we do Groovy. I've definitely become partial to Groovy over the 5yrs now at LogicMonitor, so I'm definitely an advocate for it when appropriate.

Thanks I might just do that. I'm very familiar with the Rubrik API but I always have to glue together groovy code. Havent had a good sit down with the language yet. But like you said you already have most of the code written so it shouldnt be very difficult.

Hi @Andy Escolastico I've since moved onto other projects but I've submitted the work to our core repository team for them to look over the pull request and get these modules into core.

I'll leave a note there to have them look into the "Protection Tasks Details" report.

@Michael Dieter I've submitted the suite of modules to the Monitoring Engineering team work log. They have it on their radar. As soon as they visit it, it will begin its journey to become "CORE" with support & documentation.

Until then, it will remain as "COMMUNITY".

@aziacould definitely easily extend these modules out to capture additional metrics.

My test portals did not have AWS and Azure backups enabled, so maybe thats something you can put together when you get the time

Nice work.
While I can't replace EVERYTHING that I have custom made for Rubrik monitoring, these will allow me to replace about half.

Half of what's left is custom stuff per Client, so can't do anything there. But there's additional stuff regarding AWS and Azure based Rubrik backups that can probably be added here

These are still in security review and I'm pushing on the team to get them cleared so everyone can easily import them via their Locator ID's. If they are not security reviewed by the end of the week, I can manually import these from the backend if necessary.
