Have the 'Historical SDTs' section also show SDTs which have been set on devices lower in the hierarchy
Summary: Jeroen van Zoeren discusses an issue with the SDT display on the resource tree, where only the historical SDTs set at the selected folder level are shown, rather than those from all sub-levels. They suggest improvements, including displaying historical SDTs from all levels, both above and below the selected one, and refining the SDT Inventory report to cover all hierarchical levels. This would help in tracking and verifying SDTs across a complex hierarchy more efficiently.
When you select a folder in the resource tree, you can navigate to the SDT-tab. In here, it shows the Active SDT's on the selected folder, the subfolders and devices in this folder. Same goes for the Upcoming SDT section - any subfolder, device, datasource contained in the selected folder is shown in both sections.
However, the Historical SDT section only shows SDT which have been set on the selected level (so the folder in this case). For me, it would make sense to also show the same layers as the top two sections, so have all subfolders, devices, datasources etc which are contained under the selected layer and SDT has expired show here.

A usecase is for this is for example checking if SDT was set correctly for a hierarchy as below;
City
Street address
Room
Switches
If SDT was requested for the city, and this city only has one address, one room which contains switches, SDT could have been set on all levels, so we'd have to check City, Street Address, Room, to then find out SDT was set on the switch level, thus having to check every single switch and navigate to the SDT-tab separately to see if SDT was set. There is no one section to see that this was done.
The reverse would also make sense; have the switch show it had SDT because it was set on any level above. Currently, you have to know (or search for) the specific level SDT was set.+
Example, on folder level the historical SDT is visible;

Resource show no historical SDT;

The same occurs when using Reports; if I run a SDT Inventory and select the resource, and check both Include active SDT values and Include historical SDT values, it shows no SDT at all - report is empty. When running this report on the folder level, of course it show the SDT's which have been set on that level.
However, would we receive a request to "run a report containing all historical SDT's over the last year for resource xxx", we would be unable to.
In short;
Have the SDT tab show historical SDT's on the selected level and all levels below
Have the SDT tab show historical SDT's for levels above if that meant SDT also applied on the selected level
Have the SDT Inventory-report include SDT's on the selected level and all levels below (or at least make this an option)
Have the SDT Inventory-report include SDT's for levels above if that meant SDT also applied on the selected level (or at least make this an option)
