Denver User Group Introductions
Hello Denver LM Users 😀
I want to invite everyone to give an introduction about themselves here so we can get to know each other. 👍
I'll start!
I'm Jason Hupka, and I have been doing IT Observability stuff for about almost 15 years. I started my IT career doing software development, especially in the integration space. Around 2012 I was put in charge of the global rollout of Splunk at Staples, and that began the observability-focus of my career.
After ingesting terabytes of data per day at Staples, I then went to work for the vendor, Splunk. I made a horizontal move into Marketing and wore several hats - technical product marketer, advocacy manager, and community leader. My favorite role was managing the SplunkTrust program and meeting all of the wonderful, global community contributors for Splunk. This role was also during the pandemic, and we held some really fun virtual community events such as writing & producing a live-streamed Dungeons & Dragons one-shot with a celebrity guest.
Now I'm back in IT doing observability at Crocs, Inc (a Colorado company!). We use LogicMonitor as a tool to monitor global infrastructure and retail stores. We also have other observability tools & processes, but I see LM as core to our IT observability solution.
I'm excited to have a Denver LM User Group, and looking forward to getting to know everyone.

Admin1 year agoHey guys! So glad to have you all in the group, and huge kudos to jhupka for leading the charge!
My background...I've been at LogicMonitor for just over a year, and this is the second company I've managing community platform and programs. I recently expanded my role to also work with our internal teams product enablement alongside Devin Holub, who is a Denver local and attended the dinner with you guys!
I am originally from San Diego, but now reside in the mountains of Utah (with four goats and three dogs.) I do have a soft spot for Denver as we lived there or five years while my husband managed the UC Health clinics in Lowry 😊
While we are busy building programming and content behind the scenes for our awesome LM Community, my absolute favorite part of community is THIS--users connecting and sharing best practices and insights with one another!
I would love to share some "secret" community insights for you all coming soon...
- We will be launching a new community platform next year that will prioritize the user experience through events and networking
- For our MSP friends, we are building some MSP specific content and resources in coming weeks, and holding focus groups to influence our plans for MSP community cohorts
In the meantime, take advantage of this group, and please don't hesitate to reach out with recommendations and requests. Excited to work with you all more!

·1 year agoHello. I am Scott Jackson. Senior Systems Administrator for E-470 Public Highway Authority. I am the resident LogicMonitor expert and use it every day. Thanks to connections from our dinner last month I was finally able to import a module for CCX process monitoring.

OP1 year agoThat's awesome!
I love hearing that you were able to take what you learned at the user group and move forward with a challenge you were having! 😀🎉

·1 year agoHey, I'm Justin and I'm a Solutions Architect/ Infrastructure Manager at a local K12 school district. I get to play with a lot of our systems integrations and automation/ modernization campaigns and love it. We just procured LM and are working with PS to get everything right from the start. Believe it or not, we've never had a monitoring system and we are seeing immense benefits from being able to visualize things for the first time.
Looking forward to meeting and chatting with you all.
