Creating Comprehensive VMware Disk Utilization Reports
Discussion Topic: Crafting Effective LogicMonitor Reports for VMware VM Disk Capacity
As we gear up for our final Campfire Chat on reporting best practices, let's dive into a practical challenge that many of us face: creating a comprehensive report for the “VMware VM Disk Capacity” DataSource. Our goal is to report disk/filesystem utilization across multiple VMware hosts, where filesystems are organized as child instances under Instance Groups.
Discussion Questions:
How can we create a LogicMonitor report for the “VMware VM Disk Capacity” DataSource that reports disk/filesystem utilization for multiple VMware hosts when the individual filesystems are organized as child instances under Instance Groups? We need Host → Filesystem → Total/Used Capacity → Utilization % in the report.
We'd love to hear your thoughts, strategies, and experiences. Join the conversation and contribute your insights as we work together to master LogicMonitor reporting techniques.
